Letter: I have my suspicions about Utah’s weather

I’ve been watching the long-term weather forecasts all winter and the same pattern repeats over and over. The jet stream is pulling the active weather systems north and east of us. The high pressure systems are comfortably happy sitting over Utah, keeping the active weather out.

It occurred to me that perhaps there is a relationship between our increasingly toxic air and these phenomena. I wonder if the University of Utah or Utah State University would want to confirm my suspicions.

If proven true that would give our fearless leaders plenty of incentive to do something about our air.
