Suspected shoplifter of Salt Lake City hardware store hospitalized after being tackled by employees, witnesses

An unidentified man suspected of shoplifting at an Ace Hardware Store was taken to the hospital after two employees and two witnesses tackled him Thursday night, according to FOX 13.

The struggle was ongoing in the store parking lot when officers arrived at the scene, near 400 South and 600 East, according to Salt Lake City police.

The suspect was not breathing at the time officers arrived and was taken to a local hospital.
